The US$18.80 ‘VISITAX’ At CUN Is Now Being Enforced For All Travellers

Here is some important information for you to consider when planning your next trip to Quintana Roo.
Also, as of December 2023, tourists visiting the region who are 15 years of age and older are required to pay a new mandatory visitor tax. 

The new tax, approximately $18,80 USD per person, will be collected at the airport before visitors leave Mexico OR can be paid on the Visitax Website below.

How to Make your Payment Online

1. Visit this:

2. Click on the ¨Make Your Payment¨ button

3. Select your departure date and number of passengers traveling with you, and then click next

4. Fill out the form with details of each passenger in your party, including names and passport numbers
5. Confirm the information you entered is correct

6. Enter your payment details using the secure form and click on the button which shows the amount due

7. You will receive a QR code that must be shown at the airport as proof of payment prior to your departure from Mexico.

As of December 23rd 2022, if you are entering the State of Quintana Roo, you are obligated by law to pay VISITAX and as of July 23rd, 2023 your travel provider is obligated to communicate that to you.
