February 9, 2026: Cancellation of Cuba flights for winter season

We have been closely monitoring the situation in Cuba over the last several weeks and have been in close contact with our representatives in destination. Due to the operational impacts of the shortage of aviation fuel we have begun an orderly wind down of our winter operations to Cuba.

Customers currently on vacation in Cuba

Customers currently in Cuba, scheduled to depart on or before February 16 will return home on their scheduled departure date. All aircraft dispatched to Cuba will travel southbound without passengers and thus retain sufficient fuel to safely depart without reliance on local fuel availability. If your guests are scheduled to return home after February 17, they will be contacted over the next few days to confirm their new return dates.

At this time there is no cause for concern regarding safety or security in the area. NexusTours representatives are available on-site at resorts to answer any questions that customers may have, or they can access 24/7 support through the virtual concierge on the Sunwing App.

If customers would like to return home earlier than planned, they can connect with their in-destination Sunwing representative, supported by NexusTours.com, via the Sunwing app, at their hotel or through Sunwing Cares for support in changing their return flight to an earlier date, subject to availability at no additional cost.

Customers with upcoming vacations to Cuba

If customers have a vacation to Cuba scheduled depart between now and April 25, 2026, they will receive a full refund issued to their original form of payment. Refunds will be automatically processed; no additional action is required. Please allow up to 21 business days for refunds to be processed.

We will continue to closely monitor the situation and will keep customers informed of any new developments.
